WHEW!!!

Its been sometime since i read a blog... its been a long time since i signed into my account... Its been one entire SEMESTER since i had anything to do with blogging....!!!
And today, as i read all my friends posts and my previous ones too ;-) , i realize how much fun it is to pen down wat one feels. And i take a pledge today.. now.. i shall not keep away from the blogging scenario for long periods of time as this.
Yet another semester has come to an end. Judgin by the speed at which days are flying, it wont be long before we friends go separate ways....

I have always envied "guys" in one respect... they can just about leave home anytime , come back anytime and roam out anywhere... I always feel a pang of jealousy when one says says "u know, we guys are going to the night show of this movie today" or "we are off to stay in a friend's place this weekend" or " I am going to chennai with my friends to watch the IPL".
And so a really gladdening fact is that tomorrow we "the gals" are off to "Black Thunder" for a day of total masti and jollity. hope the triop rocks!!!
and now my best friend remya is coming home for a sleep over ... wah!! won't it be fun!! a lot of fun lined up for the weekend!!! And crossing my fingers --- Chennai Super Kings .. please do win the match!!!

A long cherished dream comes true.....

I finally have got what I wanted!!!

The freedom to take out the 2 wheeler or car when i want to!!!

MY TRYST WITH...

Hmmm... Quite a few days gone by since I sat before the computer to do something other than watch movies... And then when i was watching OSO for nearly the 4th time, I realized.."oh my!!..I am now into blogging".. and I hurried to check what my last post was...

Well.. November has been a busy month... There were so many things I was looking forward to...

• Semester Exams (hmmm.. was i looking forward to them??? i dunno)
• Diwali
• My Birthday and a couple of my friends' too
• The hosts of treats we had planned out
• The Movies (oso, sawariya, atm, vel, kanamuchi...)
• Holidays(after quite sometime)

I wanted to enjoy myself to the maximum.. eat out as often as possible... go to every movie.. hang out with friends... go for long rides on my 2 wheeler... read tons of novels...in short lead a totally care-free life.... doing just wat i want!!!

But then, "Man proposes, God Disposes!!!"...I realised how true it is, when I got the reports saying I had jaundice...(of all things).. and that too one day before Diwali...

Gone were all the mighty plans... I was to take bed rest.. with a very very bland diet... (thank u ma for making that as tasty as possible, that bhel that u make for me, nothing can beat it!!!)... and no books.. no tv... no computer for long hours... and for some days no cell either... Now thats something I cant be without!!!

No BOOKS meant No EXAMS either... so I skipped 2 of them... withdrew from them to be precise.. sigh :( what a procedure that is.. I felt it wud be simpler to write math n software rather than withdraw.. but thanks to my dad.. he went to coll the very next day and submitted the form..

so now there was nothing to do... i managed to convine my parents that it wudnt do me harm if i were to read books... and so got hp5.. I started reading the sries very recently.. and then the 6th... finished them during the long holidays in btwn exams..

When I went to coll later to write the other 2 papers, there were so many comments about how tired i was looking.. how thin i had become.. etc etc.. and after the exams, I was cursing myself as to why i wrote the papers!! They were damn tough!!!

i cudnt of course strain myself too much.. so it was quite a surprise when i was allowed to go to a couple of movies... enjoyed both oso and kanamuchi immensely.. and waiting to watch the rest..

well, this tryst with jaundice has been quite an experience and it still continues... no normal food for another 2 months... :-( no going out too much..

But it has served as time to catch up with people at home.. to share all those cute sweet incidents that have happened... and also to loose weight:-)

Have been so well taken care of by my amma, appa and pati.. and I wish I learn to become as caring and patient as them... love ya loads...

ITS UNFAIR TO COMPARE

Bhool Bhulaiya(BB) is a remake of the Malayalam hit MANICHITRATHAZHU, and this is wat chandramukhi is about too ....

Its a remake in the complete sense... people who have watched both the movies ll realize that every scene is a copy of the original... with of course the spices added for the hindi audience...

Every review that i have read, be it in the friday review... or india today.... or outlook.... has given a thouroughly prejudiced outlook about the movie(about balan in particular)... which is unfair... it is a thriller for the ones watching it for the first time... and for others too....

Agreed it isn't a comic caper that is normally expected of accomplished storyteller Priyadarshan and aki duo...who have successfully delivered laughathons in the past that made the viewer go ha-ha-hee-hee-ho-ho.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA is all about suspense and spirits.

Vidya Balan deserves credit for the way she has played the role!!! both as the trendy modern wife and as the possessed psychopath... and as for the dance sequel... its natural... and shot well... Her eyes are expressive and dat does half the job for her... acting comes naturally to her... felt there were too many opinions against her... but accept it... she was way too good!!!

The movie did have the thrill factor and VIDYA(enga ooru ponnu) ROCKS!!!

The days dat whizzed past!!!

hmmm.... months have whizzed past... n it has been quite a ride for me... with so much happening in all quarters... only when i logged in today i realized its been pretty long since i blogged...

so where do i start???????

The INTRAMS was a much awaited event.. and it happened to clash with our external viva... we were told we might not be allowed to participate in the event!!! but then.. thanks to the determination of a few of the f5ers.. we went ahead with all that we had planned...we enjoyed the numerous discussions... and preparation for the girls footloose was fun too... i remember so vividly the last day when we were finishing their record work.. and they were trying out their dresses...

I thought we were rocking and deserved to win most( if not all) of the events... but GOD(!?!) knows why.. the judges thought otherwise... And then its afterall the participation... n the whole episode was taken in our stride...

The very next week.. we, the f5ers were off to bangalore... our industrial visit(!!!)... our first over night trip.. we boarded the late night train.. and the excitement just dint die down... we sat thru the night.. and teachers who accompanied us were a game too... the next day morning we were off to the industry... der was a presenation about the industry.. n we used that time to catch up on our precious sleep...

And after this visit... we were off to the mall... FORUM... an all time favourite of mine... we hit every eatery there....there was so much of shopping done and wen we got back to the room.. we put out all our purchaces... and the night really seemed to be young then... the next morning too we were up at 4 nad started playing games.. we called all our friends rooms.. rang thier door bells.. but they were fast asleep.. sad...

We were then off to Bhangarkata... we thought we would be taken for a ride and dat we wudnt get to see any of the animals.. but it was not to be... an experience i enjoyed... of course i was among the girls who dint want to make it to the zoo... and stayed back in the bus.... and after a really late lunch.. there was a heated discussion about where to go... the choices were iskon temple.. and commercial street... and at last we decided to go shopping... commercial it was... that was most awaited part of the trip.. we immediately split into groups.. went away for wat girls luv most... there was so much of stuff one cudnt resist.. and soon our bags were full...

and we decided we had to eat the chat der b4 we left... a bad decision i guess.. it started raining right after... and then the ever so polite guys of our class came searching for us(guess dey were sure we wudnt leave the place unless we were dragged out.. true!!! come on.. 2 hours is too little time to be spent on commercial street)... and we were asked to hurry back to the bus... the walk was pretty good.. but i still shudder at the thought.. wat if one of us had fallen into the open drainage or something?? the rain was pretty blinding... well.. thank heavens.. nothing of that sort happened....

the next day we were returning home... the train was at 4.. the return journey was good too.. that was when our pack of cards came out and we played many rounds of many games.... it was a memorable trip... wonderful memories.. wonderful times.....

back to college... it was time for our lab exams... the question on all our lips was output??/no output??? and then came the internals... thats the only time wen we actually have to study... but just cudnt set myself into that mood... maybe coz of the rains.. maybe coz of laziness.. but i skipped a few...

and now that its study hols.. time to once more enjoy life... time to reason out wat why and how some of the things that happened.. happened.. time to go blogging....

Hey everybody....

The last week just whizzed past.. the Lets Talk event was quite a huge success.. happy to have contributed my bit... missed quite a no of classes.. n the meetings at IM, discussing d event were awesome ;)...

Thats where i was told that His Excellency Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam was to come to our college and I was the MC for the function... WoW.... dream come true... and the icing on the cake was when Dr.Kalam actually got off the stage and shook hands with us (2 of us emceed together)... at the end of the function... yippee... Well... and now i have been told i shud give a treat for dat!! I ll.. sometime soon guys..
